Return to Email Migration

  1. Open the Windows Mail application and select the gear/settings icon in the bottom right-hand corner, outlined in green here:

  2. Select Manage Accounts from the Settings menu, outlined in green here:

  3. From the Manage Accounts pane, select the account you want to change from the list presented.

  4. Select Change mailbox sync settings.

  5. Select Advanced mailbox settings.

  6. Update the incoming and outgoing server names.

    • Incoming email server - if this is an IMAP account, change this to mail.hostedemail.com:993. For POP, use mail.hostedemail.com:995.
    • Outgoing (SMTP) email server - change this to mail.hostedemail.com:465.
    • Outgoing server requires authentication - this must be checked.
    • Use the same username and passowrd for sending mail - this must be checked.
    • Require SSL for incoming mail - this must be checked.
    • Require SSL for outgoing mail - this must be checked.
  7. Click Done, then Save to save the settings.

  8. After saving, you may be informed that your account requires attention. Select the indicated account and click Fix account. You will be prompted for your password.
